There comes a time in every professional's journey where they must undergo a transition. For me, that transition is shifting from the role of a garage door technician to that of an aspiring accountant.

It is not every day you meet an accounting student who can boast about intricate knowledge of repairing and installing garage doors. However, this seemingly unusual combination lends a unique perspective on life and work. It has encouraged me to view every situation as an opportunity for growth and learning, regardless of how disparate they may seem.

There is value in all work, and it all contributes to who we become. As I map out my journey, it quickly becomes apparent that being a technician has ingrained in me values such as punctuality, precision, and client satisfaction—values that form an essential foundation for my future accountancy practice.
